Refund Policy

1.      CANCELLATIONS: A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation.  Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, or that are made within 60 days of the arrival date will result in forfeit the full advance payment unless Bigfoot Rental is able to re-book the time slot,  in which case, any monies paid in advance will be refunded in full.   Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit. You may choose to purchase travel insurance separately. 

 

2.      CHANGING OF DATES:  A request to change the dates of your stay after confirmation will be accommodated with no additional charge if presented to us in writing at least 30 days prior to arrival and we can re-book you into open dates in our condo.   Requests to change the dates of your stay within 30 days of your arrival will result in forfeiture of 50% of the rental charges unless Bigfoot Rental is able to re-book the time slot, in which case, any monies paid in advance will be refunded in full.

 

3.      MONTHLY RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS:   Monthly renters must cancel ninety (90) days prior to check-in. Monthly renters who make a change that results in a shortened stay must be made at least sixty (60) days prior to check-in.

 

4.      HURRICANE OR STORM POLICY:  I personally think it’s only fair to offer a refund to guests renting our vacation rental property if a mandatory evacuation is given.  But not if it just rains due to a tropical storm.  I cannot guarantee the weather.  No refunds will be given unless:

a.       The National Weather Service orders mandatory evacuations of the vacation rental area and/or

b.      A mandatory evacuation order had been given for the area of the residence of a vacationing guest. 

c.       The day the National Weather Service orders a mandatory evacuation order, we will refund:

                                                              i.      Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered,

                                                            ii.      Any unused portion of rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive, and wants to shorten their stay, to come in after the Hurricane Warning is lifted; and

                                                          iii.      Any advanced rents collected or deposited for a reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the Hurricane Warning period.

 

5.   TRAVEL INSURANCE:  We highly recommend your purchase travel insurance.  If you wish to purchase travel insurance, go to www.InsureMyTrip.com or similar facilities for details and to purchase.
