Notes: Biography: Rev. Mark Hersman, Jr., was born near Berlin, in Lewis County VA(WV) on June 2, 18 22. In 1852 [but Col. Harshman lists Jacob as born in Spencer in 1850], he moved to Roane Cou nty VA (WV), and in 1856 bought 254 acres from B. B. Aplin on Missouri Fork of Spring Creek , near Speed. He was founder and minister of the Hebron M. P. Church on Missouri Fork, whic h was built by his son-in-law, H. c. Camp, for $275. He and his wife are buried in Hebron cem etery. [Col. Harshman attributes this to hisfather, Mark Sr., but this is obviously incorrect , since Mark, Sr. died in 1856 and H. C. Camp was born in 1852.] , buried Hebron Cemetery,Mis souri Fork, Roane Co. WV

BURIAL: Was not able to find his grave in the Hebron cemetery at Speed.
