Dr. Eileen Bernat is a licensed psychologist. She received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Loyola University of Chicago in 1990 and has
practiced in a variety of settings. Dr. Bernat has a general practice for adult
individuals and provides assessment and brief, intermediate, and long-term treatment for persons with a variety of concerns
and problems. These include:
· Depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and stress management
· Adjustment to life transitions and losses, such as death of a loved one, divorce, or career change
· Recovery from traumatic events, including adult survivors of sexual and other childhood abuse
· Women’s issues, such as creating a balanced life, improving self-image, and dealing with life stages such as
pregnancy and birth, marriage, and mid-life issues
· Infertility and adoption issues
· Older adult/elder concerns, including dementia screening, transition to less independent housing and adjustment to
changes and loss
