Who May Join?
Currently, membership is open to descendants and relatives (direct and in-law) of Sjoerd Wiebe Hoornstra, who was born
in Gorredijk on 16 November 1816, and married to Elizabeth Dirks Visser in c1839, both of Friesland in The Netherlands.
However, we welcome visitors and friends of the family, and we are open to building bonds with distant cousins,
including Heritage Societies in other lands.

Benefits of Membership
Our members become close friends and we have a great time when we get together. As our heritage family grows and folks
move to other cities, our Society helps us keep in touch. And of course we also have a common interest in acquainting our
children with their heritage.

How May I Join?
To join, we need a completed application and membership dues for the first year. An application is available from the
Treasurer.
Annual dues are usually collected by the Treasurer at the summer reunion, but may be mailed to the Treasurer.
