Coat:
This is a breed that requires little grooming, although their ears should be cleaned on a regular basis to prevent any problems.
Their coat is short, hard coat that lays close to their body. Normally the hair is softest on the head and ears and is more harsh and coarse on the rest of the body.

Bloodhounds are extremly loving, gentle dogs that have a great disposition. Because of the bloodhounds shy nature early socialization is really a very important part of their early training.
We have alot of people ask how Bloodhounds do around children? Absolutley Great, of course you should never leave small children around animals unsupervised. Bloodhounds would never hurt a child but they are not the most graceful animals and could not meaning to harm them knock them over.  Bloodhounds do not realize how big they are, our Noble weighs close to 125lbs and thinks he is a lap puppy.
Bloodhounds are a very intelligent animal and want nothing more that for their owner to be pleased with them, but lets not forget they have a very strong stubborn streak also. Some training issues can be a challenge, keep in mind Bloodhounds spirit can too easily be broken, so Gentle training and Speaking  are a must.

Bloodhounds are the only hound that are able to track humans as well as all types of animals-in any and all conditions even if the trail is 100 hours old.

Bloodhounds are to the extreme with loyalty, kindness and that makes them a wonderful addition to a family setting.  They love attention the more the better, giving and receiving.
