What's the difference between
a "high-end" scooter and a
motorcycle?



    There are a number of differences that differentiate between a "scooter" and a motorcycle.  First of all, ALL scooters have a floorboard where you can put your feet.  Motorcycles usually just have foot pegs to put your feet on.  Scooters usually do not have you shift gears, such as that on a motorcycle.  Scooters usually have one "gear".  Unless the throttle is beyond an idle state, scooters are usually in "neutral".  Only motorcycles have the characteristic high gas tank, which is usually between your knees when riding it.  Below is a table that will help you out:
