Zandbergen, Margaret "Peggy" Helen 9/12/1934 - 2/9/2017 Hudsonville ZANDBERGEN - Margaret "Peggy" Helen Zandbergen (Brown), age 82, went Home to be with the Lord on February 9, 2017. Peggy was born to Lylah and Lawrence M. Brown on September 12, 1934, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Peggy married Delbert Zandbergen, Jr. in 1952, who preceded her in death in 1986. Also preceding Peggy in death were brothers- and sisters-in-law: Lewis Zandbergen, Ted and Helen Zondervan, Pat Zandbergen and Sharon Zandbergen. Del owned the Zandbergen's Wholesale Meats until his death. Peg was a domestic engineer. Together they raised their five children in Grandville, Michigan. Peggy was a member of First Reformed Church of Grandville since 1952. Peggy is survived by twin brothers, Larry (Diana) Brown and Lynn (Ruth) Brown. Also surviving Peggy are her children, daughter Cheryl (Thomas) Kastelz, and four sons, Steven (Dianne) Zandbergen, Scott (Kimberly) Zandbergen, Randall Zandbergen, and Todd Zandbergen; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren: Karli and Brian Sanders; Kandice and Patrick Sloop, Kreg and Becky Kastelz, Jessica Kastelz, Alexandra Kastelz, Markia Kastelz, Kristina Kastelz, Zachary Zandbergen, Ezekiel Zandbergen, Mandi and Brandon Byker, Maxwell Zandbergen; great-grandchildren: Sofie, Harper and Beckett Sanders; Adeline and Blakely Sloop, Summer Roon, Kirk Kastelz; brothers- and sister-in-laws: Donald (Karen) Zandbergen, Ronald (Terry) Zandbergen, Marcia (Donald) Osterink, and Thomas (Arlene Zandbergen); and many nieces and nephews. Peggy's memorial service will be held 12 PM Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at First Reformed Church of Grandville, 3060 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville. Relatives and friends may meet her family from 6 - 8 p.m. Monday, February 13, at the Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville, and Tuesday from 11 AM until the time of her service at church. Obituary for Sharon A. Zandbergen
ZANDBERGEN - Sharon Ann Zandbergen, age 58 of Hudsonville, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, September 19, 2000 after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Her father Ray VanderWall and brother Larry VanderWall have welcomed her home with open arms and little Aidan is climbing into her lap.
She will be forever remembered and loved by her husband Ron Zandbergen; and her children, Kim and Tim Hocking, Kerre and Mike Nykamp, Jon Kelder, Sara and Matt Elenbaas, Jason and Roni Sue Zandbergen, Dawn and Rick Dykstra, Blake Zandbergen and his fiancAC.e Cindy DeKock. She will also be missed by her mother Margaret VanderWall; her siblings, Gene and Carol VanderWall, Don and Nancy VanderWall, and Mary VanderWall; her in-laws, Helen and Ted Zondervan, Peg Zandbergen, Don and Pat Zandbergen, Marcia and Don Osterink and Tom and Arlene Zandbergen; her 11 1/2 grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many friends.
Sharon was a kind, compassionate woman who loved God and the beauty of His creation. She enjoyed this world through art, music and dance, and had a fondness for Earl Grey tea. She cherished her family and friends and inspired us with her radiant love for her husband. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the church members, friends and neighbors, Wendy Koopman R.N., Dr. John Reinstra, Dr. Mark Campbell and Hospice of Holland Home for their caring and compassion.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. at Fellowship Reformed Church with Rev. Michael VanBuren officiating. Interment Georgetown Cemetery. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Holland Home. Visitation 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 1889 Baldwin, Jenison.
