Hi John
Because I had to fill my mind with something other than stuff I had no control over for a few days, I did a bunch of research on the Piet - Padian family.
I work in FamilySearch.org because it's free. Also on Ancestry.com because I can use it free through my public library. A very good tree, The Padian Family is on Ancestry. A lot of info about Piet and Padian families was on FamilySearch but needed to be pulled together. If you sign into familysearch.org, Georgia M Piet is here:
https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/G8HZ-9CL
I'm attaching my notes and a screenshot of the tree from familysearch.
Hope these help you. I was born in White Plains and my family goes back to the 1600's in that area so I have been researching there for years. And I have recently been researching some family in the Baltimore area so it all came together.
The Piet and Padian familes are very interesting!
Sharon

In addition to Richard's rather young age (17) at the time of Georgia M. Piet's birth, There is the marriage of Georgiana J Prior to John B. Piet on 23 Feb 1903 in White Plains. I am pretty sure the John B. Piet is called P. Bernard Piet (same person) in the obituary you just sent.

He married Eunice Tainter on Aug 4,1737 at Colchester,CT. She was born Apr 13,1713, the daughter of Michael Tainter and Eunice Foote Tainter.

NOTE: Several sons moved to Shelburne,MA after their father's death, and, of these, Shelburne Vital Records specifically says Aaron Jr moved there on May 8,1773. Aaron Jr remained in Shelburne, and died there in 1826. East Shelburne Cemetery was originally called "Skinner Cemetery". It is probable that their mother Eunice went to Shelburne with them, or perhaps a bit later. This deed extract is found, from Fernald's John Skinner of Hartford: "On Sep 25, 1779, Eunice Skinner of Shelburne, Mass, for £150, [sold] to Joseph Isham, Junr & Isham 2nd, 36 acres of land in Colchester......(vol. 10, p. 228)." So it is probable his wife Eunice is buried in Shelburne, perhaps at Skinner Cemetery, perhaps with no stone.

Children: Eunice Skinner Matson, Aaron Skinner Jr(husband of Mehitable Worthington Skinner), David Skinner, Mary Skinner, Charles Skinner, Jared Skinner, Lydia Skinner Nash, Lovina Skinner Phelps, Eli Skinner, and Amasa Skinner.

According to books about this family, Joseph is buried alongside his wife, Mary, on the family homestead in Windsor, Hartford, CT.
Joseph LOOMIS & Mary WHITE came to America with their 8 children on the "SUSAN & ELLEN", one of the earliest ships to America. 11 Apr 1638 set sail from London, ENG. 17 Jul 1638 arrived in Boston. Moved to Windsor, CT in 1639. Findagrave shows 1,840 Loomis memorials, (2,560 LOOMIS memorials, 14 May, nearly a year later), 663 Lomax memorials, 274 memorials and 12 Lumis memorials, all can be traced to Joseph & Mary LOOMIS. (9,003 LOOMIS findagrave memorials as of Oct, 2011)
s/o Agnes LINGWOOD & John LUMMYS of Thaxted & Braintree & Bocking in Essex, ENG
f/o Nathaniel; Joseph; Sarah; Elizabeth; John; Thomas; Mary & Samuel.
Joseph's birthdate is actually unknown, but normally his wife's christening date is used as his birthdate. Also his deathdate is actually the date his will was read. The LOOMIS home is a National Landmark.
One of the most remarkable facts in the history of the house on "The Islands" is that the title has come down through generation after generation by inheritance, and has never been transferred by deed. It is believed to be the oldest homestead now standing in the United States. According to Edward C. Marshall's "Ancestors of General Grant," the Loomis home is the oldest in America, with the exception of the Van Rensselaer homestead at Albany, N.Y. The latter place was a few years older, but it is said that this house has been moved away from Albany, leaving the Loomis homestead alone in its distinction.
