By a deposition made 25 January 164-7 and recorded i n the Archives
of Maryland, he says he was with Governor Calvert at Kicotan

when the Governor was organizing his expedition against William
Claiborne,
He settled near Newtown (not f a r from present-day Leonardtown) i n
St, MaryTs County, Maryland. Various accounts of the l i f e and

No record of any other Jarboe immigrating to America has been
