Mr. Harold Dwight Morgan of Grand Rapids, Michigan, age 77, passed away on the afternoon of Sunday, March 6, 2016. As a patriot, Harold proudly served his flag and country in the United States Army, stationed abroad in Germany. A quiet man of integrity will be laid to rest. His silence often spoke more than words, and when he did have something to say it would certainly be of meaning and value. He was a loving and devoted husband, wonderful father, proud grandfather and great grandfather, and dear brother and friend. The love he had for his family was truly immeasurable. He will be sadly missed, yet fondly remembered. Harold is survived by his beloved wife, Carol; loving son Mark (Gerrie) Morgan; adored grandchildren, BreighAnn (Matthew Judon) Morgan, and their daughter Aniyah, and Jessica, Garrett, Kelsey, Evan, and Hannah Morgan; sisters Beryl (Ward) Walcotten and Norrine “Rusty” Rivers; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other beloved members of the Morgan family. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter Baylor Morgan; and brother-in-law Ron Rivers. There will be a time of visitation from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at Pederson Funeral Home, 127 N. Monroe Street NE, Rockford, MI 49341. The funeral service for Harold will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Pederson Funeral Home. Pastor Bruce Wilson will be officiating. There will also be a one hour visitation prior to the service. Under the auspices of the Kent County Veteran’s Honor Guard and the United States Army, full military honors will be conducted.
