FEYEN - Elizabeth "Betty" Feyen went to be in the presence of her Lord on Monday, March 21, 2011. She was born Oct. 8, 1912 to John and Cora Kruis. She was predeceased by her husband. Fred; son, Gerrit John; daughter, Joan Kay; son-in-law, Peter Baker; great granddaughter, Alexa Kooiman and great grandson, Caleb Burchfield and ten brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Mary Feyen of Byron Center, Carol Baker of Jenison, Phyllis Feyen of Grandville, Donna (John) Postma of Jenison, Don (Anne) Feyen of Grandville, Evelyn (Jay) Rynbrandt of Hudsonville and Bill (Pat) Feyen of Byron Center; grandchildren, Kevin Baker, Randy Baker, Sandy (John) Hawkins, Rachel Burchfield, Karie (Matt) Mazerik, Dan (Dawn) Postma, Alissa (Matt) Jourdan, Jesse (Callie) Feyen, Shani Feyen, Mallory Feyen, Jamie (Amy) Rynbrandt, Ryan Rynbrandt, Stephanie (Ryan) Kooiman, Brent (Betsy) Feyen, Kate (Jamie) Thrams, Amanda Feyen and 22 great grandchildren and special family friend Margaret Kamps. She is also survived by one sister, Mae (Peter) Keyzer of Zeeland; sisters-in-law, Annette Kruis of Oregon, Mae Kruis of Gallup, New Mexico, Jo (Walter) Kruis of Jenison, Sally (John) Feyen, Florence (Harry) DeYoung of Grand Rapids, and Harriet (Henry) Feyen of Cutlerville. Our mom had the gift of hospitality and always welcomed many into our home; from those who rode the railroad cars that traveled behind our home on the farm to many international students, friends and family. There was always room at the table for one more. We rejoice that she is now enjoying the banquet table of our Lord. The family would like to thank the staff at Railside Living Center and Faith Hospice for the loving and tender care of mother in the recent months and years. The visitation will be at Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center on Friday March 25 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and the funeral will be at First Byron CRC on Sat. March 26 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev.
