Rynier Van Syckel, the second child of Mercy and Reinjer, the III., was born in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, November 28, 1749. He married (about 1774) Rebecca, daughter of James Firman, by whom he had five children.

Reinier Van Sickelen III [Parents] was born 1 about 1723 in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, USA. He was christened 1 on 17 Nov 1723 in Dutch Reformed Church of Readington, New Jersey, USA. He died 1 on 12 Dec 1803. Reinier married 1 Maayke Langstraat about 1746.

Reinier Van Sickelen, who was, without doubt, a son Reinier, the II., was born in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, about the year 1723. He was baptized in the Dutch Reformed Church of Readington, New Jersey, November 17, 1723. He married (about the year 1746) Maayke Langstraat (Mercy Longstreet), by whom he had ten children.

He was a farmer by occupation, and owned a large plantation (304 acres) in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, which is said to have remained in the family about 100 years. (His son Rynier, first held it; next his son Aaron; next his grand_son Daniel; and lastly, D. Van Syckel, the son of Daniel, and Samuel Parry, who held it a few years, then sold it.) He was a successful business man, and accumulated a handsome property, as is shown by his will. He died on Tuesday the 12th of December, 1803. His wife, Mercy, survived him nearly twelve years, and died the 26th of June, 1815.
