Abraham married, 15 Dec 1736, Martha Blood. She was born Feb 1712/3, dau of James & Abigal (Wheeler) Blood. His first child was by his first wife, and shortly after her death he removed to Groton, where the rest of his children were born, of his second wife Hannah. In April 1749 he puts his eldest daughter under the guardianship of her grandfather Jonathan; then, ten years later, (on Feb 17, 1759) the grandfather being dead, and the girl having married James Davis, Abraham who had resumed the guardianship, renders his final account; the trust having been of property left to her by James Blood, her mother’s father, (See Middlesex Probate Court Records, Vol XXXVIII, fol 301 and 310, which sets forth all these facts in detail.) In the Middlesex Court of Sessions, 15 Mch 1736/7 Abraham Wheeler of Concord, housewright is fined 50 shillings for fornication before marriage, with Martha now his wife, and at the next term of the same court, in May, Martha is fined a like amount.
