HOEKSTRA, HERMAN Rev. Herman Hoekstra, aged 93, of Jenison went home to be with his Lord on Sunday May 19, 2013. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Kent Hoekstra. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 67 years, Dorothy; his children Paul and Ellen Hoekstra, Judy and Larry Bergman, Phil and Dee Dee Hoekstra, Jim and Karen Hoekstra; 14 grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Jack Cook; and many nieces and nephews. Rev. Herman Hoekstra was a graduate of Calvin College and Calvin Theological Seminary. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11:00 AM at Baldwin Street Christian Reformed Church, 2101 Baldwin Street, with Rev. George Mossel officiating. Family will meet with friends and relatives Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr., Grandville. Herman Hoekstra; her son, Thomas Kent Hoekstra; and her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Marian Cook.
