Henry N. Roghair, 75, of Huxley, IA, and formerly of Hawardcn and Orange City, died on Tuesday, May 26, 1992, at a Nevada, IA hospital.

Services were held on Thursday morning, May 28, 1992, at the First Reformed Church at Ireton, the Reverend Erwin Voogd officiating.

Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery at Orange City, under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home at Orange City.

Mr. Roghair was born on October 26, 1916 at Maurice, IA, the son of Nicholas and Ida (Van Steenwyk) Roghair. He was raised at Maurice.

On August 14, 1940, he married Sadie Zigtema at Sioux City. The couple lived most of their married life at Hawarden where he was a representative for Watkins Products and was also employed by Scroggs Feed and Grain before multiple sclerosis forced his retirement in 1970.

The couple moved to Huxley in August, 1989. He had been a resident of the Long Term Care Center at Story County Hospital, Nevada.

Mr. Roghair was a member of the First Reformed Churches at Ireton and Orange City, and the Christian Reformed Church at Hawarden.

Survivors include his wife; three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Dianna of Elk River, MN, Randal and Carla of Creston, and Rick and Rebecca of Huxley; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Elsie Burnsman of Seal Beach, CA, and Jo Steenhoven of Lakewood, CA.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary; three brothers; and one sister.
