Reece G. Severson, Menasha (1975 - 2008)  

 

March 14, 1975 ~ December 6, 2008

Reece G. Severson, 33, of Menasha died unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at his friend's house in Menasha.

He was born March 14, 1975, in Eau Claire to Garry Severson and Brenda Lee. He attended St. Raphael The Archangel Church in Oshkosh. Reece loved to write poetry with an appreciation for all types of music and the arts. To all who knew him, he was known for his great sense of humor and quick wit. Reece was on a continued quest for knowledge and spiritual well being throughout his life.

He is survived by his father, Garry Severson of Cross Plains; his mother, Brenda Lee of Baldwin; three siblings, Jon Walker of Fairchild, Christina (Bandi) Henke, nee Kruckman, of Eau Claire and Gretchen (Travis) Nowak, nee Severson, of Wausau; paternal grandfather, Stanley Severson of Mondovi, paternal grandmother, Jeanean Mertens of Strum; step maternal grandmother, G. Beverly Kruckman of Eau Claire; niece, Katalina Nowak of Wausau; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Arnold and Ada Spielman.


Jason D. Roettger, Janesville (1974 - 2008)  

 

September 27, 1974 ~ March 30, 2008

Jason D. Roettger, 33, a lifelong Janesville resident, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2008, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Janesville on Sept. 27, 1974, the son of Kevin E. & Diane L. (Rogers) Roettger.

He attended Parker High School and graduated in the Class of 1993. Jason was employed as a Laborer in the construction trades and was working with C & R Concrete at the time of his death. He had been a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Jason was a "rabid" Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed most sports. He played baseball in the Janesville youth leagues and also while at Parker High School. He also wrestled and enjoyed soccer. He loved hunting and fishing.

He had a true "zest for life"! His greatest love and joy was spending time with his son, Gavin. Friday night was their "movie night", and they also loved going to the park to play and hang out! He will be remembered as a wonderful and loving Dad!

He is survived by his son, Gavin; his mother and dad, Diane & David Fancher; Gavin's mom, Luvanna Galvan; his maternal grandmother, Marjorie Rogers; all of Janesville; his paternal grandmother, Viola Roettger of Evansville; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Kevin Roettger; his maternal grandfather, Donald M. Rogers; his paternal grandfather, Donald Roettger; and by his "other" grandma, Frances Fancher.


Brian Kohls, Janesville (1975 - 2004)  
 

 February 4, 1975 ~ January 8, 2004

JANESVILLE, WI - Brian M. Kohls, age 29, of 515 Cornelia St., died unexpectedly Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at Memorial Community Hospital, Edgerton, from a heart complication. He was born in Janesville on Feb. 4, 1975, the son of Michael and Sharon (Demrow) Kohls. Brian graduated from Parker High School in 1993, where he was a three sport athlete. He participated in golf, track and was a co-captain of the swim team, which made it to state. He furthered his education at MATC, where he received an associate degree in Architectural Design, and most recently had been employed by Eastridge Construction. Brian had a love of life. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially camping, fishing, playing golf and in numerous volleyball leagues. He was a devoted father, son, brother, grandson and friend, who was always there to lend a hand.

Brian touched many lives and died while doing what he loved.A beautiful life that came to an end, he died as he lived, everyone's friend.
