About Us

We are Ray and Jodi Ketchem, we have shared over 30 years together, our first date was Valentine's Day 1981. We celebrated our 25th Anniversary in 2008. Ray has worked in the Manufacturing field for more than 35 years and I have worked at Job & Family Services for over 25 years. We are the proud parents of Amanda and Neil. Amanda added a fine son-in-law, Mike and two fabulous Grandsons, Michael jr (3 years old) and Mason (18 months) to our family. (she is pregnant with our third grandchild and will soon find out if it is a boy or girl) Neil honored us by serving his country in the United States Air Force and is currently continuing his education. Mike proudly serves this country in the US Army National Guard. We have been breeding Goldens for nearly 10 years now. We raise our puppies in our home... they are immediately a part of our family until they become a part of yours, when we include you in our ""Colors Of Gold"" Family.

Our New Endeavor

When I was a young girl, I remember my Dad bringing home a Samoyed puppy. He was so white and fluffy with the blackest eyes and nose. We named him Tag because he tagged along with me everywhere. Recently, Ray and I visited a fellow Golden Retriever Breeder with an English White Golden puppy about 16 weeks old. He was so white and fluffy with the blackest eyes and nose and I found myself falling in love again just like I did when I was that little girl. My dad has passed-away and this memory was so great, that Ray and I talked it over and he agreed it was something I have to do. So once again, true to our breeding program, we poured over every piece of info and data he could locate and found some pretty impressive puppies to start our line of

English White Golden Retrievers.

Our Goals

To sell puppies so that 'families' can afford to have a Golden Experience.
We strive to provide calm, well-mannered, beautiful family pets.
To raise healthy, happy, socialized puppies.

I fell in Love with this Breed, when we got Ladego, 09/1997... We didn't know what we had until he passed-away in 02/2004... Our family had other breeds as pets, but none convinced me to allow more than one pet at a time. Finally, we got a second Golden, Lady Layla in 01/2002, and she understood every word spoken to her. We found ourselves unable to be happy with just one Golden after Ladego passed-away and got Zeus in 03/2004.

We raised our first litter of Golden Retriever puppies that year and were hooked. I poured months into learning to breed, whelp, raise and train puppies. We take this very seriously and for us it's not just "oops, we have puppies"... I sell from waiting lists and on-call families, have specific matings for bloodlines and looks. Our Ladies are bred only once a year to ensure they are healthy and recovered enough to have another litter of puppies.
