Summer 2009 - we found the blog again!Wow! We set up the site and forgot we had a blog. It's been almost 2 years since The House Next Door has
been available for people to use and create wonderful new memories. We've had hundreds of people stay, a handful of
dogs, families, friends, retreats, clubs, girlfriends, wedding parties.
Everyone loves the house! Why? 1) Location - in the heart of downtown, across the street from the farmer's
market, 200 yards from the Coupeville Wharf, and right in the heart of historic waterfront Coupeville. It's peaceful
and quiet.
2) The house is comfortable. It's not fancy, but it's nice. It not small, not huge, just right. It's
classic styling inside and out. It looks historic but is only 12 years old.
3) Simple amenities - wireless internet, nice deck with view and grill, fenced yard with nice plants and lawn (good for
croquet), cable tv and dvd player, well equipped kitchen, nice bedding and towels.

Our new website! I love this!I actually had fun making this website. Using Site Builder that came for free with Verizon - I got our website
up and running. We'll have more pics over the next few weeks.
We have just purchased some new furniture that you will love - classy and comfortable - all to make your vacation that
much more relaxing and memorable.
Check out our first website for our business next door - www.thelovejoyinn.com. We can host you and your group in both places and you can spread out and really enjoy life in downtown historic Coupeville.
I've got to go now. Bye.

Why the name - The House Next DoorGreetings! Our new blog with our new website with our new vacation rental house! We are happy to share our new
venture with anyone ready for a wonderful experience in a small waterfront Whidbey Island town and in a home full of
warmth and charm.
Why the name - The House Next Door? Because it's next to the house we live in with our family - also running
as a bed and breakfast - www.thelovejoyinn.com. The House Next Door is the result of an amazing series of events, friends and family making a commitment to each other
and the gracious former owners wanting it to all come together.
5 of us live in our house - Mitch and Lynda and our 3 girls. There are 7 of us joining together for the House Next
Door - Lynda and I, Lynda's brother David (the visionary), Lynda and David's sister Connie and husband Roger from Bend, OR
and great friends Heather and Krystina.
