Singer
Music has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. Starting in elementary school I devoted much of my free time to practicing and performing in instrumental groups. I had planned on majoring in music until my junior year in high school when I realized that playing the trombone and baritone horn wasn't going to get me on the Billboard top 40 list or provide fame or fortune. Lower brass instrumentalists don't even attract groupies, except for the occasional 70 year old Glen Miller fan, so I switched gears and developed my singing talents instead.
"Shake shake shake,
Shake shake shake,
Shake your booty,
Shake your booty"
Here it all began with my endless practicing of those classic songs from the 70's. It is amazing that I am not more shriveled up after all the hours spent in the shower.
I got my first big break with the Bee Gees when Maurice decided to go solo. Unfortunately right after joining the group my voice started changing, and soon and I could no longer hit the high notes.
"Do you want to dance,
Do you really want to dance,
Do you really, really, really want to dance?"
Before they were they Spice Girls we were the Condiments and I was Salsa. Then one day Scary Spice comes up with this, "girl power," angle and before you know it I'm out the door. With my dreams of musical stardom crushed once again I returned to the corporate world, which is just as well sinceI prefer going to bed early to partying late at night with groupies.
