The Ride and I are One... We are BronCowie. This is a 1969 Ford Bronco Sport built
on July 2, 1969. I have the Ford Facotry Build Sheet. There have been many owners before me but I bought it in
1993 for $3,300. It is worth much more today but I will never sell it.

A Daily Driver for many in my family
I taught three of my kids how to drive in the Bronco. It was a Daily Driver for Kebe and Becky in their senior
high school years. Here you see a tatoo dedicated to the last time Kebe ever drove it. She rear ended somebody
and put a nice dent in the front fender. Keys were confiscated.

While rebuilding the engine I had the torque converter replaced. They gave me... yes, that's right... a purple
TC. I had my lovely wife, Horsie, autograph it when I installed it on 3/28/07.

The Grrrrlz Do Their Thang
Max and Sam see who can get their exhaust manifold off first. I forget who won but they got the
job done.

BronCowie sat in the stall for 3-1/2 years until Cowie could get the funds together to finish the engine rebuild.
Finally... we did it! Thanks to my kids for the helping hand. This bad boy ROCKS!!!

One tired old engine... I drove it into the ground, finally gave up the ghost and had to come out.

Rob and Andy help the old man get this bad boy back in where it belongs.

The original 302 had too many rebuilds on it so I bought a 289 block and used my other salvagable 302 parts - heads,
exhaust manifolds, etc. The rebuild includes an Edelbrock Performer series intake manifold and 500cfm carburetor.
I also replaced the points with an Ignitor electronic ignition module, upgraded the cam slightly and had the build balanced.
It now produces 230 HP.
