Sounds like they can use any infant's,
child's, women and men's clothing items. It gets plenty cold
at Eielson in the winter... 40 below. So think warm.
Susan says, "It can usually be pretty rough the first winter
up here. And household items always go fast." |

babies. We make items for NICU's and at risk pregnancy centers.
We need yarn, sewing material. But we need your help the most.

Needs? Sometimes when women and
their children escape abusive homes they leave literally
with just the clothes they had on. They can use anything and
everything. And Whitehorse is very cold in the winter...
well below zero Farenheit... and Celsius! The little ones
leave their toys behind, so think about what you can make for
them. |

Tacoma Goodwill Industries employs a
large number (64) of foreign-born workers. Most in the Tacoma area
are from South Viet Nam and Cambodia. They are also students in
Goodwill's ESL (English as a Second Language) Program. These
workers are older and are first generation refugees to the U.S.
They work extremely hard under difficult conditions. They stand 8
hours a day. In the winter, the production area where they work is
very cold. It would be wonderful if I could give them newly made
warm scarves to wear. |
