Needs?  Sometimes when women and their children escape abusive homes they  leave literally with just the clothes they had on.  They can use anything and everything.  And Whitehorse is very cold in the winter... well below zero Farenheit... and Celsius!  The little ones leave their toys behind, so think about what you can make for them.

ESL Program Manager
Tacoma Goodwill Industries
714 S. 27th St.
Tacoma, WA 98409
Tacoma Goodwill Industries employs a large number (64) of foreign-born workers. Most in the Tacoma area are from South Viet Nam and Cambodia. They are also students in Goodwill's ESL (English as a Second Language) Program. These workers are older and are first generation refugees to the U.S. They work extremely hard under difficult conditions. They stand 8 hours a day. In the winter, the production area where they work is very cold. It would be wonderful if I could give them newly made warm scarves to wear.
