Cannon Beach IV ... Cannon Beach V ... Cannon Beach VI

Relentless surf pounds the rocks hard.

Beachcombers dot the sunset beach.

Haystack Rock seems tranquil in the twilight.

Changing light and mist create many shifting moods...

...and changing colors of the rock itself.

A gull keeps watch on the beach below...

...while another checks out the humans on the balcony.

Sand and shore plants make an abstract composition.

Mist and fog hug the shore north of Haystack Rock..

Subdued colors create a painterly monochrome effect.

Mist shrouded silhouettes create a soft look .

A local resident stops by for a handout.

The balcony rail makes a good roost...

...from which to look over the possible food sources.

"I think somebody's home. Look hungry."

Taking in the sights.

Incoming tide creates a rippled facsimile of Haystack Rock...

...and the needles to the south.

Gulls wheel above the rock on a nice day.
