Cardiff is a modern city with its share of old buildings and churches, with a city center composed of
upscale shopping avenues and malls.  The center is dominated by the Castle Quarter, consisting
of St. Mary Street, High Street, Castle Street and Duke Street.
Victorian and Edwardian arcades
include the Castle Street Arcade, High Street Arcade and the Duke Street Arcade.
  The city is
relaxed but vibrant with many visitors to the central area.  The Cardiff Castle and the
St. John the Baptist City Parish Church form principal landmarks.
