Aberystwyth Castle Ruins

Aberystwyth

LLanrhystud is a small village a few hours south of Aberystwyth.
It is basically a rural farming community on the major coast highway, A-4.
We went there because some of my old ancestors came from that area.

The pastoral landscape along the coast south of aberystwyth.

On the outskirts of the village.

The river Gwyre runs through the village to the Bay of Cardigan (Ceredigion in Welsh).

The river Gwyre runs through the farms and fields, near the church and graveyard.

Looking towards the bay from the Highway.

The Black Lion is a great pub right on the highway.

The main road off the highway leads to Llanrhystud church.

The church sits in a lovely pastoral setting.

The church hall and rectory.

Starting at the North end.

Typical Anglican interior, nothing ornate or gaudy.

Not far from the village, a seaside caravan park.

Cottage near the caravan park office.
