Funchal, Madeira Island, Portugal

Five days Sailing from St. Thomas to Miami meant lots of time for walking on the
Promenade and eating some great meals and taking in some evening shows.

A nice boquet on the cabin table.

A nice morning with shipboard friends in the breakfast/lunch venue.

Photos don't do the food justice, but it was very good.

I usually ordered my entrees plain; no sides.

The lamb was great in the specialty restaurants.

When we arrived in Miami, we just stayed on board and packed for
debarkation in Houston. All these pictures are from the ship.  The Miami
area is large, High-rise buildings visible as far as you can see up and down
the coast.  The harbor / port itself was bustling with boat and barge traffic.

Our ship reflected in the terminal building.

The Marina.  Note the high-rise buildings all along the horizon.

Brought a few cigars back for a buddy and myself.

Re-packed for luggage.

We were berthed in front of the Norwegian Pearl.

A Disney cruise vessel heads out of port.

Heading out of Port in the Evening / Night

The Divina is a huge ship, bigger than the Jade.

The Divina and the Pearl.

Looking out toward sea.

Divina all lit up.

The causeway is always full of traffic.

Leaving the mouth of the harbor.

Port of Houston

Not much left to do but say good-bye.  It was a great vacation!

Getting on the bus to the airport.  Sad to be leaving, but nice to think about going home.
