Crossfire Boys Coaching Director Bernie James is a USSF "A" licensed coach, and has
been a successful coach for girls and boys teams within the Crossfire program since 1997. Currently his BU13 and BU15 teams have been
crowned defending WSYSA State Cup Champions and will be competing at Regionals in Colorodo this June.
A Washington native, James has been involved with soccer at many levels. He began
playing in the Lake Washington Youth Soccer Association, continued playing high school and club soccer, and was a member of
the US National and Olympic teams. He then had a 25 year professional career.
James earned many honors while playing with the Seattle Sounders, Edmonton Drillers,
Cleveland Force and the Tacoma Stars. James was a member of the 1995 and 1996 A-League Champion Sounders' teams and the 1994
and 2000 Division Championship teams. While with the Seattle Sounders organization, he was both an assistant and head coach.
In addition to his years of experience playing and coaching in the professional ranks,
James continues to coach youth soccer. He has a proven track record of turning out teams that excel at the highest levels
of competition, as evidenced by the number of State Cup championships and top four finishes his teams have earned.
