Policies:
Pet Sitting. We provide visits for most pets, including dogs, cats, fish, birds, non-poisonous reptiles and small mammals. We do not care for animals with a history of biting, fighting or attacking other animals or people. All pets must be current on vaccinations, and
dogs must be kept on a leash if not in a secure enclosure. In addition, all pet food and supplies must be provided by the client. If supplies run out, the client will be responsible for the cost of supplies plus an hourly rate, billable in fifteen minute increments. Regular visit hours are between 7am and 9pm. After-hour fees apply with the exception of Overnight Care.
Overnight Care. If you choose Overnight Care, we ask that your
pet sitter be allowed to utilize your phone (for emergencies), TV and
microwave. If you have any restrictions against their use, please let us know.
Your pet sitter will bring their own food and beverages along with either an air
mattress or their own linens. Your sitter also will not use any service that
will cause you to incur charges such as long distance and pay-per-view. In the
event of an emergency, your sitter may be required to tend to other clients;
however, your pet(s) will never be left unattended for extended periods of time.
Job Sharing. Due to liability concerns, we do not allow job
sharing. We do not allow any other person (relatives, friends, neighbors, etc.)
to care for the home and pets entrusted to us during the time our
clients are away for extended periods of time. Furthermore, we are only liable for claims arising from gross negligence or willful misconduct of our pet sitters. Due to the unpredictability of animals, we do not accept responsibility for unusual mishaps (i.e. biting, furniture damage, etc.) and we are not responsible for injury, disappearance or fines resulting from outdoor access.
Daily Notes. As a courtesy to our clients, we will leave behind daily notes on our last visit to communicate anything of interest, such as time arrived, play time activities and pet behaviors. We feel this is an excellent way to provide you with a detailed account of our services rendered. Of course, returning home to find your house and pets as you left them is a good indication that we have been visiting regularly and performing our duties!
Emergency Vet Care. We make every effort to prepare for unexpected
events such as serious pet illness. Veterinarian information supplied to us
will allow us to obtain prompt medical treatment in the client’s absence. We
will attempt to notify the client and emergency contacts. The client will be
responsible for all veterinarian fees plus an hourly rate, billable in fifteen
minute increments.
Customer Service. We value client suggestions and continuously seek ways to improve our services. If you do not see a service your pet requires or want to request extra services that are reasonable, please call us to discuss your special circumstance
since we may be able to provide accommodations. Fees are negotiable.
Referrals. To show our appreciation for spreading the word about our services, we offer a $5.00 referral credit! Simply tell your family,
friends or neighbors to mention you at their “Meet and Greet” consultation. The new client must schedule at least one visit. Shortly after service is rendered and payment is complete, the $5.00 referral credit will be applied
directly to your account.
Discounts. Discount offers may be combined, but cannot exceed 50% off any service.
NSF Charges. The client will be charged a $35 fee for each check returned from the bank for non-sufficient funds.
Key Exchange. Client keys are coded for personal protection
and kept in a safe, undisclosed location. All keys are returned upon request.
Charges apply for extra trips required to pickup or return keys.
Reservations. Reservations may be made by phone and will be confirmed within 48 hours. A 20% non-refundable deposit is required for reservations placed more than 30 days prior to service.
Cancellations. To avoid a $25 service fee, cancellations must be made a minimum of 48 hours prior to scheduled service. This fee may be waived for regular customers who do not have the luxury of giving us advanced notice of cancellation due to illness or other emergencies.
Payment. Full payment is required in advance for first-time
clients. Repeat clients generally may leave payment on the kitchen counter or
mail payment upon returning home. Payment options may vary depending on the
type and length of service, and dollar amount. Acceptable forms of payment include cash and personal
checks.
