Lions Clubs International is the youngest major social service organization, yet we have grown to be the largest. We are
succeeding because we have embraced all those committed to building a bright future for the world and for themselves. There
are more than 40,000 Lions Clubs worldwide of over 1.4 million men and women in 205 countries. Regardless of what
language they speak, religion they practice, or politics they espouse, all Lions are dedicated to seeking out and helping
those in need.
Known for working to end preventable blindness, Lions participate in a vast variety of projects important to their communities. These projects range from cleaning up local
parks to providing supplies to victims of natural disasters.
Beginning in 1917, the association of Lions clubs has provided millions of people with the opportunity to give something back to their communities.
