Helping hands

Here's a list of resources that have helped me fulfill my desire of never leaving well enough alone. In no particular order:

Weber VST
Ted made the best speakers, for the money, available today. Unless you an find an old Jensen, in perfect shape and have lots of money to spend, his line up will cover whatever you need. His staff has taken over after his passing and continues his quest for affordable tone.

L'il Dawg Amps

Classic tweed amp clones at an affordable price. Quality build and components. The waiting list is getting longer as his reputation builds. But prices are incredibly low for what you get. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to a friend.

Pete Biltoft and Jason Lollar
These two local guys build the best pickups available. The Casino sports two of Pete's custom P90s that I absolutely love. But Jason's bridge P90s are pretty fine, too. Hard choice between the two, but either one will make a huge difference in your guitar.

Mark Arnquist
Mark has made a lot of friends (and ruffled some feathers) with his conviction to making Rickenbackers the guitars they really should be. Nobody knows more about them and his work is immaculate. If you own a Ric, you owe it to yourself to have him do his "magic" to your guitar. You'll be surprised with what you have locked away in there.

AbsoluteTubes
Jim has helped me through the journey for tube nirvana. Many claim to test tubes that they sell, Jim takes testing to a whole new level. His tubes aren't the cheapest, by any means. But, when you buy one, you're getting the best. Believe me, there's a lot of junk tubes out there. At the price of good vintage tubes these days, I want my money's worth. He delivers.

JD Newell
JD was very instrumental in the design details of the original ClassicRevamp amps. Quality workmanship at a reasonable price. A pleasure to deal with.

Mike Lull Guitars
I've known Mike since the early 70's. He's worked on virtually every guitar that I've owned (except the Ric) since then and I wouldn't think of recommending anyone else to a friend (with the exception of Mark).

Amplates
Joe Vallina has made me a half dozen custom faceplates and each turned out exactly as I wanted. He does beautiful work and has a quick turnaround.

D2F covers

My new favorite custom cover maker. Tom is right here in Seattle and builds the best covers I've ever seen. They fit like Italian driving gloves and incorporate 1/4" of padding for an extra level of protection. The best.
