HOW MUCH GOD AND CHURCH DO YOU WANT?
That was the question put to us by the Pastor today. The early church
lived and breathed church everyday. While nowadays we have church gatherings maybe twice on Sunday and once during the week
and on special occasions. Based on the Bible's description of their gathering together everyday, I would have to say
church then was a far, far cry from the way it is now! Who wouldn't want to go to church everyday to see the sick,
deaf, blind, lame healed and the dead raised back to life?!? Plus, the teachings of Jesus was fresh in the minds of
the Apostles. Just imagine the sermons they could give on the past, present and future! The things that were not
even written down for us! Things they heard directly from our Saviour! We know how much we thirst after God's
Word now, but imagine hearing it directly from the Apostles! I could easily understand why they would sell everything
and come to church everyday. It must have been simply amazing and exciting! I think the church as a whole is getting
weary waiting for the return of our Saviour Jesus Christ. Our fire is kept kindled by what we can glean out of almost
2000 year old text and we examine it from every angle and try desperately to apply it to our lives and life's situations to
keep us going. Jesus preached as one having authority and so did the Apostles, that makes a huge difference compared
to the way God's Word is presented to us today. It is like hearing the same bedtime story over and over. You hear
the words but your mind is some place else. Nowdays, we rely on the Holy Spirit to encourage us with new insight to
God's word, because Jesus said his word does not return to him void. Let's keep church alive in our hearts everyday
like the early church did for everyone we meet, because they need Jesus too.

THE CHRISTMAS STORY
Only 8 more days until Christmas! We all always get just a little
excited about that day, because of the food, family/friends and of course the gifts! As believers we know that we already
have the ultimate gift, God's son. 1 John 5:12 says "He that hath the Son hath life and he that hath not the Son hath
not life." The gift of eternal life! Now who would not want a gift like that?!? It is free for the taking,
but there is a catch! You have to take the gift. I can try to give a gift to anyone I choose, but they have to
accept it. It is FREE, all they have to do is take it, but I cannot make them take it. It is the same with God.
The gift is free. There is nothing you can do or offer to get it. You simply have to take it. Jesus is the
gift to the world for eternal life, it is the ONLY way and it is FREE! What is better than free? If you have not
accepted that wonderful free gift from God, ask yourself how hard is it to accept a free gift? Will you miss out on
a wonderful blessing, eternal life, because you were not humble enough to accept a free gift? Be warned though!
Time is running out, the free gift of salvation will only be available for a little while longer and then the end will come.
Now is the time for salvation, accept the Lord Jesus, the free gift from God now while you can. Once the gift is retracted
it will be too late. Acknowledge him now as your Lord and Saviour and welcome to God's family!

1 Samuel 16:7 The Lord does not see as man sees, for man looks
at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.
COAT DRIVE - We want to bless people
this winter by providing them with a coat, hat, scarf or gloves. If you have any of these items in storage, in closets or
simply laying around in the way and you KNOW you will most likely never wear these items again, please bring them in to the
church so that they can be bundled up and given to someone who could really use them now. God bless you as you give.
FAMILY BIBLE STUDY - We want to invite you to come to our Family Bible study. You will get sound Biblical
teaching and great fellowship. It begins at 10am and we have a class just for you.
SPECIAL MUSIC - We are in need of singers and musicians for our special music for Sunday morning. If
you would like to help, please let Shirley King know or call (269) 303-0330.
JUST ASK SOMEONE - This week will you ask someone to come to church? It is easy to do. Just try and
see what happens.
REMINDER: We have a Prayer dish and Praise dish in
the foyer. All are welcome to put your requests in and we will pray over these and add them to the next bulletin for prayer.
You can also go to the prayer section of this website to submit prayer requests online.
