THE FIRST ONE OF THIS YEAR SO FAR

click here to watch a video of this knife in action slicing newspaper.

The last cut was stopped by a drop of water on the paper which caused the paper to fold over and continuing would have ripped the paper. I sliced up a few sheets of newspaper later. I also done some testing by cutting into an old red oak bench and slicing paper then shaving hair after. I will test to see how much it takes before it no longer slices easily.

This is my first knife of 2008. i put a convex edge on it today (4 26). it is a chisel grind. the knife measures 10 1/2" overall with a 5 7/16" blade that is 3/16" thick and 1 3/4 from spine to edge. it has a happy home.
