September 29th 2009 5th Annual Cougar Classic:
Just want to thank everyone who worked hard to put the golf tournament together and
Dwight for his time and financial contributions.
It was very special for me as I don’t get to see most of you but every 10 years.
As I told Rich Dompier the other day, I wish everyone would come out and play, it doesn’t matter if you play every
week or it’s the first time, it is just great to see everyone and have many laughs.
I can’t wait for next years,

our gatherings possible and memorable.
Darrell Green:
1. you
continue to group us so we see different people each year--I know that taking requests makes your job more difficult and pleasing
everyone is not an easy task.
By the way, do you have the standings;
I never did find out how our group did--even if it was announced, my hearing is not so good any more.
2. The
additional gag-gifts was a good idea. Is it true that Johnny Murphy is selling
off chips from his BHS brick? AND, how about Ron (Dentist) Frost--is he not caring
for his own teeth? Finally, I still think that Randy DuBois should have pass
his
wine bottle around after giving everyone a straw/funnel--honor
system??????does that work?

I'm pleased that you have taken on the role of encouraging membership to the Alumni Association, encouraging us to
be at the picnic and contribute in any way possible. That's a job that we should
not overlook as being important; while we
appreciate being with our fellow classmates
we shouldn't overlook friends just year(s) ahead and behind us.

Dwight Funai: Wow, always taking on the awards for the golf tournament. THANK
YOU. I know you enjoy doing it, but I really do want to thank you for all your
time and support--you really outdid yourself this year.

Thanks for the website. I'm really looking forward to seeing all this
years pictures. Maybe emailing the website address would be a great reminder
to everyone!?

Good to See the non golfers either make Breakfast
or Dinner, especially those who hadn't made it in the past: I'd list the names
that I remember, but don't want to embarrass myself by forgetting someone.
GOOD SHOWING--Oh yeh, golf (or at least taking
a walk with friends) was nice too.

I want to thank you for setting up the annual Cougar Classic Golf Tournament.. I know it's a
lot of work for you and we all appreciate your effort. Also thanks to Dwight for the prizes. I just love my new
golf towel! It was such fun seeing everyone and having some time to visit. The golfing was okay too, even
though it was the hottest day of the year! I really don't think you need to worry about changing the date because of
heat! Since that day I think I've seen the sun once....gotta get back to San Diego! It's COLD here. (But
beautiful)
Speaking of San Diego, any of you who ever may wander down our way, please give us a call. Rick is
always ready for a game of golf. We have sunshine most of the time and over 80 courses in the area. My home
number is 619-464-2528 and cell 619-507-8806.
Thanks again for a good time and hope to see you all next year!

Hope every one has been having a good summer
and is ready for fun at our annual gathering. It looks like all nine tee times
will be filled. If there have been any last minute emergencies or other problems
that is going to prevent you from attending, please let me know. Playing bad golf is not an emergency. :-)

for breakfast and a fun round of golf followed by more good food and fun. If

teams and prizes (if I knew you were giving out great looking trophy's my team would have tried harder---Toni that was the
best birthday cake -------back to Mt Si next year-------I am into the food and drink portion more than the golf portion-------as

a great time!!! So good to see everyone.
Thanks Darrell for making it happen and to Toni for the non-fattening 60th cake.
Nice to have some of the women partake and especially Donilee coming so far to show us all how to play. To my playing partners, I have arranged with the massage therapist that
I promised you to help relieve the shoulder pain from carrying me for
18 holes. And thanks Bob(cat) for the wonderful pictures - next time we might consider photo-shopping
some. Being 60 is really tough already.

to everyone for such an enjoyable BHS day. Special thanks to Darrell and Dwight for arranging this fun event. On a more serious
note, I know many of you were disappointed that I did not wear my pink golf shirt; but the morning gray skies would have been
too much of a contrast! Also, thank you to Toni for bringing the 60th birthday cake. I must mention, however, that I don't
turn 60 for another 2 1/2 months and still feel full of youthful vitality. On second thought, all this typing has kind of
tired me out so I better go take a nap.

course next year. Bill Miller said he would join us and Steve Smith is

the cake was great and the thought behind it was even greater. Pictures provided by Darrel and BobbyC were wonderful,
revealing, but wonderful just the same. Next year we will have to go for the covert pics to verify scores like
65!!!

I got a chance to visit Betsy (Bratlien) Madson in Worcester Mass while we were east. We had a good time catching
