Warning Description: Wind Chill Advisory

Warning Date: 2:51 PM CST on February 26, 2015

WarningSum:...Wind Chill Advisory In Effect From Midnight Tonight To 10 Am
Cst Friday...

Warning Message:The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a Wind Chill
Advisory...which is in effect from midnight tonight to 10 am CST
Friday.
* Wind chill values...wind chills between 15 and 24 below zero
will arrive across central Illinois during overnight into mid
morning Friday. The coldest wind chills will be around Galesburg
  by dawn Friday.
* Impacts...frost bite will occur in a matter of minutes on
exposed skin. Extended exposure without proper clothing will
  increase the risk of hypothermia.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
If you must venture outdoors...make sure you wear a hat and
gloves...and minimize as much exposed skin as possible.

WarningDesc:Special Statement

WarningDate:3:18 PM CST on February 26, 2015

WarningSum:...Snow Accumulations Likely Saturday Night Into Sunday...

Warning Message:Snow will likely spread northeast across central and southeast
Illinois during Saturday evening and continue into Sunday. The
snow will mix with or change to rain in southeast Illinois Sunday
afternoon as temperatures climb into the middle 30s. Current
indications suggest the potential for 4 to 6 inches of snow in
areas north of I-70...with the heaviest snow band from I-72 north.
Between 2 and 4 inches of snow is possible from I-70 south with
most of this snow expected to fall Saturday night into Sunday
morning. Winds will generally be near 10 mph or less during this
time period so this will limit the amount of blowing and drifting
snow.
If you have travel plans across the Midwest Saturday night and
Sunday...check with later forecasts as additional changes to the
track of the storm are possible...which will lead to adjustments
to snow totals and precipitation types.
