Hello my name is Tom Belcher, and I have enjoyed wood working since my high school
shop classes. For many years I did my wood working as a hobby, making projects for friends and family in
my one car garage. It didnt take long to realize I needed more space for my hobby, and
also my wife wanted to park the car back in the garage. So over the next several years I expanded my shop and added
a storage building to hold all the supplies. So with the expanded shop and storage capabilities
I decided to open my own wood working business and this is how West River WoodWorks was started.
I decided to use quality materials, craftmanship, and customer
service to differentiate West River WoodWorks from the competition. I also wanted anything we produced to be something
cherished by the owner, something to be proud to pass down to their family. I take pride in everything that is built
by this company, and I would not sell it if I would not want to keep it myself. We do not mass produce any products,
each piece is designed and made one at a time with an eye on detail and quality. That is why we can give each piece
a lifetime guarantee against manufacturer defects.
