I'm looking for any information on Effie Belle Drain born 1866 died 25 Nov 1901. Her mother was Rose Drain born 1820? I would love any and all information about this family. Effie had one other sister Minerva who married Amos Haggerty. She married Francis Crim 23 September 1896. She had two children, Cleophias and Ora Mae. Effie Belle is my great grandmother and I have not been able to ascertain her father or her place of birth. She is buried at the Cunningham Road cemetary in Harrison County with many of the Drain family. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Samuel Swartz, born 1779 on the transatlantic crossing, died 12 Feb 1867 Shenandoah County VA aged 88 years, 8 months, 6 days.. He married Mary Geil 15 Oct 1801 in Bucks County PA. Other children are Chris born 14 Aug 1804, Phillip 1807, Catherine 1809, John and Elizabeth 1811, Samuel 1817 and Mary 1819. Jacob Guile born 6 August 1806 and died 30 August 1871 in Miami County Kansas. He married Rebecca Cummins Mt Jackson Shenandoah County VA 7 August 1827. I believe Samuel immigrated into Philadelphia area and lived a short time in Pennsylvania (Bucks County or surrounding area). He later moved to Rockingham county VA and died at his residence in Shenandoah County VA. He may have been a weaver by trade and owned property near "Meems Bottoms". Any information on Samuel or any of the Swartz line would be of great help. I haven't made much progress on this line and a break would be welcome.
