Preheat oven 400 degrees

3 cups - Self rising cornmeal - Lake used
Three Rivers

Sift cornmeal into a bowl

In another bowl, beat up one large egg

Add approx. 2 cups of buttermilk

Add milk mixture into cornmeal until batter
is fairly runny

2-3 tablespoon of oil in iron skillet

Heat pan and oil for ten minutes

Pour in batter

Bake till golden brown (about 20 - 30
minutes)

Eat hearty!
