The Parade ended at Calder Plaza with a flag raising ceremony, the playing of both
the American and Irish Anthems, speeches from local dignitaries, the Spirit
of Ireland recipient, Seamus Duffy, the Grand Marshal, Mick Lane told a wonderful tale in St. Patrick's memory directly to the children and finished
up with some absolutely wonderful Irish Dancing by K.C. Cassily and Ciara
Lane!

Here's a couple of pictures from A.O.H. Webmaster, LANCE
TIMMER.
In the first, we see Liam (the EXTRA LARGE)
Leprechaun with Lynch's Lair co-owner, (and Meagan's
Husband!,) Mike Hazen. Also pictured is Meagan's younger sister, Maureen
Kelly Lynch! (Affectionately known as "MO!")
Many of the parade goers ended up gathering at Quinn and
Tuite's after the parade. (A tradition of sorts!) Here you see Liam with a couple of new friends,
Lee Withey and his cousin Joan Withey, at the
end of the bar. Liam says he can't ever remember being anywhere so full of great Irish people with such
wonderful live Irish music. Quinn and Tuite's wins Liam's
vote as best Irish Pub in Grand Rapids!
There were so many cute girls at the parade, |
|
Liam had a perpetual wink going on! |
|
Speaking of cute girls...Here's Maureen Kelly Lynch! |
|
Here's a "Thistle and a Shamrock" for you!
Liam poses with this very cute Scottish lassie, "Heather!" She's the sister of Bagpiper, Jesse McIntosh who also appeared
in the parade.
Liam would like to thank Heather's friend,
Lori Kibbey
for these 5 pictures!

MORE CUTE GIRLS-Julie and Callie were a huge help! |
