The idea embodied in the Saw Set is one that will commend itself to every user of a saw-setting tool. The principal feature is the use of two p1ungers operated by the two levers or handles; pressure on the lower lever forcing plunger 'D' against the body of the saw, thus holding it rigidlv in position and preventing slipping, while a continuation of the pressure on the upper lever operates plunger 'C' in setting the tooth.
Another important point is, the head of the Set is made open, enabling the operator quickly to adjust the Saw Set to the tooth, the work being in plain view at all times.
The Triumph Saw Set is manufactured in four sizes: No.8 (large) for Circular and Cross-cut Saws, 12 gauge and lighter; No.18 (medium) for Circular and Cross-cut Saws, 14 gauge and lighter; No.28 (small) for Hand Saws, Back Saws, Web Saws, narrow Band Saws, etc., 10 points to the inch and coarser; No.280 (small) for Hand Saws, Back Saws, Web Saws, Butcher Saw blades, etc., from 10 to 16 points. Barff finish, polished head.
