ANTIQUE PRINT AFTER HENRY LANDSEER WORK

"STAG AT BAY"

Here is a very interesting antique black and white print called "Defiance", after Sir Edwin Henry Landseer's (1802-1873) famous work "Stag at Bay." This print was probably produced around the late 19th Century/early 20th Century by Crowell & Kirkpatrick Co, New York and Chicago. As you can see from the photo the print does have water staining and a couple of small hairline tears and pieces gone on the outer edge. It would probably need restoration. This print measures approximately 20" x 24" and the image measures 16" x 19." In the left-hand corner of the print it reads, "Painted by Sir Edwin Landseer" and in the right hand corner it reads, "The Crowell & Kirkpatrick Co., New York Chicago." For the collector of antique prints this would be an interesting piece to add to your collection.
