married Josephine Zbin on December 31, 1935, in Bay City

Donald and Josephine had eleven children: Donald, Carolyn, Joan, Douglas, Melvin, Denis, John, Robert, Susanne, Janet, and Gregory

worked as a sailor and as a diesel mechanic

died February 7, 1980, from cancer at Community Health Partner in Lorain, Ohio
buried in Maple Grove Cemetery in Vermilion, Ohio


About Dad's family . . .

Dad's parents, Carl Cressman Gregg and Florence Ellen "Flossie" (Plush) Gregg, marry on August 16, 1905, in Bay City and live in Michigan. Dad is the fourth of eleven children born to Carl and Flossie:

In 1910 the family lives on Ames Street in Essexville. Carl is employed as a coal miner.

In 1920 the family lives on Mercer Street in Essexville. Carl is now a house painter.

By 1930 the family has moved to Taylor Street in Bay City. All of the children have been born and the oldest, Ivan, has moved out. Their other sons are working--Doug is a laborer, Don and Harry are sailors.

Carl (Grandpa Gregg) dies November 27, 1936, in an automobile accident in Bay City. Grandpa is buried in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Bay City. Flossie (Grandma Gregg) dies September 22, 1948, at home in Essexville. Grandma is buried in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Bay City.

Dad dies February 7, 1980, from cancer at Community Health Partner in Lorain, Ohio. He is buried in Maple Grove Cemetery in Vermilion, Ohio.
