and the tail waters are great trout fishing..

Two popular fishing area of Mineral Co.
Barnum is great all year round, but New Creek is for Winter and Spring fishing. The water in the summer is low
and to warm to support trout, some do survive through the summer until the following year..
As spring moves along and summer comes I will update on fishing experiences in Barnum and activies at Jennings
Randolph Lake.

New Creek in located outside of the small communtiy of Keyser.
The creek is stocked with trout from January to the first week of June. The creek runs a total of nine miles
with easy access to the water.
New Creek is a popular fishing area for a lot of trout fisherman in this area because of the easy access to the
water.
Fisherman from Pennsylvania and Maryland come to West Virginia just to fish this small easy access creek
