Sunday, August 15 - Our first full day in Vegas
 
We walked down the strip from the Barbary Coast to the Sahara and arrived at the Nascar Cafe just in time for pre-race.

Getting to see one of Dale Earnhardt's actual race cars so close up was a thrill. What a surprise to find it in the gift shop.

We loved the decorating scheme of The Nascar Cafe. The service was excellent, and there were plenty of big screens for us to watch the race. Although this was a road course, being with such a large group of Nascar fans watching the race made it an exciting experience. We found we weren't the only ones booing Jeff Gordon and cheering on "Smoke".

After a refreshing lunch while watching Tony Stewart win the race, we went downstairs to the gift shop, where we received a 20% discount on our favorite driver's merchandise since he won!
