AARP MedicareComplete have three different types of Medicare Advantage plans available. Preferred Provider
(PPO), Health Maintence Organization (HMO), and HMO Point-of-Service (HMO-POS).
Preferred Provider allows the consumer to go to any doctor, however if the consumer goes out-of-network they will pay
higher cost sharing as they would if they stay within the in-network providers.
Health Maintence Organization (HMO) the consumer is only allowed to go to the providers in that network. Note,
if there is no provider/specialist within the network then you can obtain a referral to see a specialist outside the HMO.
