Another early American family,was probably here in America by 1707 in Pennsylvania.Then to various places in in Virginia and North Carolina,all by 1800.There are a few books about the HOBSON family as well as the many allied families as well.I have also made contact with a few through the internet,they'll be listed below.The HOBSON family were mostly Quakers.Some however left the church when they fought in the American Revolution.
I hit a wall going back,Charles Hobson is the 3 great-grandfather to Charlene.I know his parentage,but as for his family with his first wife,I have very little.He came up from North Carolina to Washington County,Ohio about 1810 or earlier,his daughter Mary was born in Ohio in 1811.There were at least 2 other daughters.I know nothing about his first wife,other than that her name was probably Mary.He lived in Athens and Hocking Counties before settling near Londonderry,Ohio in Ross county.He second marriage was to Jane Henshaw,he had a few children by her before his death.The above mentioned daughter,Mary Hobson,was the wife of William WOODARD.
