Roman & Roller Shades
The very popular Roman Shades are available for most any size window and is a clean simple way to cover with minimum fabric. When the roman shade is pulled up it looks like a valance - or it can be covered with another valance for more expressive style. The mechanism for pulling up the roman shade is a continuous loop clutch system - no messy strings to deal with. There are ribs sewn in the back of the shade for even pleating as it is drawn up, or you can opt for a more relaxed look. Roller Shades are also a great way to stream line window coverage with minimum fabric and fuss. It has a clutch system rather than the tension mechanism for easy operation. The roller shade does have some size restraints as seaming is not recommended. The sample pricing below is given for a few size options to give you an idea of the price range.
