The primary purpose of the Imaging System Board ( ISB ) is to interface the VP-064 Vector Processors to real time image processing systems. In addition, this single 6U VMEbus board integrates all of the features normally required for machine vision systems. This document illustrates the functionality of the board as used in these systems: specifically, the high magnification, high speed Automatic Inspection Machines (AIM ). The functions are not limited to those described below and can be modified through software. In addition, the board can be further adapted to different environments through changes in firmware.
