Hi, my name is Jared Paddick, and I am
a golfer. I play JUCO golf for Rend Lake College. I only started golfing about five years ago when a buddy
asked me to join him at the golf course. We shared clubs, a lot of laughs, and a respect for the game.
From that first experience, I got the golf bug. I’ve practiced hard, and in a very short time, I have accomplished a +2 handicap.
I’ve been a varsity member for Mt. Carmel High School four years. For the 2009 IHSA State Golf
Tournament, I placed 8th individually, and the Mt. Carmel team finished as the IHSA State runner up!!
Over the last few years, I’ve been fortunate to participate in
and win several tournaments on the Central Illinois Golf Tour (CIJGT), and the Evansville Junior Golf Association (EJGA). Take a look at my resume that lists my scores, the course
yardage, par, # in field, and my finish. My contact information is also available there.
I would like the opportunity to talk with any University coach.
Other accomplishments include being named to the Spring '09 All-Conference
Team Member of the Big Eight Conference. IHSA allowed Mt. Carmel High School
to cross state lines to participate in the conference championship that was out-of season for an Illinois team. The weather conditions were really tough, but I managed a second place finish with a score of 79. An Indiana newspaper, Washington Times Herald, stated there were “only two rounds in the 70’s,
which speaks to the difficulty of the golf course and weather conditions. Twenty-four
out of the forty-two players who played today shot in the 90's or 100's."
