Rental Agreement

Campers cannot be used outside Wisconsin.

It will be the responsibility of the renting party to do the following or the security deposit may be forfeited:

  1. Take proper care and cautions with the unit and not cause harm to his/her self or the pop-up camper.
  2. Return the camper on the agreed date and time. Late fees: < 3 hours = $50, 3-6 hours = $100, 6-24 hours = $150, > 24 hours = $250
  3. Clean the camper before returning. If not clean, a $75 fee will be imposed.
  4. Assure proper hook-up of secure and legal towing equipment and inspection of trailer light
  5. Pets and smoking are NOT allowed in any unit. Evidence thereof will result in forfeiture of your entire deposit.
  6. Properly put up the rental camper when it is brought back to the camper lot. Be sure to put stabilizer legs down. Do not put up the camper if it is raining unless it is already damp or wet.

Reservations need to be made at least 2 days prior to the rental date. The rental agreement needs to be signed and the refundable security deposit ($250) will be collected at the time the reservation is made.

A full refund will be made after inspection of the returned camper. The renting party is subject to losing the $250.00 security deposit if there is damage that requires repairs and/or replacing of parts. Rental agreement cancellation penalty fee: Canceling the rental more than 14 days from the agreed rental start date will incur a $50 fee, canceling 14 days or less from the start date will incur a $100 cancellation fee.

The pop-up camper is rented "as is". The pop-up is rented without a uniform commercial code warranty. The renter agrees to "hold harmless" the owner Scott Kirner and Kirner Campers LLC. for any defects in the pop-up. There are no warranties, expressed or implied as to the pop-up, including warranties of merchantability.

I (party renting the camper) will agree to not hold Scott Kirner or Kirner Campers, LLC. liable for any accidents that may occur during the transport or use of the pop-up camper being rented. Please remember that a pop-up offers no protection from a thunderstorm or other serious weather conditions (seek safe shelter for your protection).

Do not force any procedure of the set-up or take down, if something seems stuck or not functioning properly, take the time to look for the cause of the problem. Problems usually occur because of operator error. If there should be any problem with the pop-up, the renting party will need to make his/her best effort to contact Scott Kirner so the problem can be solved/repaired ASAP. Minimally, the renting party will need to call (608) 644-0107 or cell (608) 220-9118 and discuss the problem or leave a detailed message. It will be the renting parties responsibility to repair the damage and return the camper on time if a problem occurs more than 100 miles from Madison, WI. The renting party must report (in writing) any problems or damage when the camper is returned if there is to be any consideration of the security deposit return.
