. Welcome to the Third Regiment West Virginia Cavalry, Company "C" web site. Our Unit is an educational living history re-enactment group. We are a family oriented organization. . The purpose of the Company "C" 3rd WV Cavalry is to educate the public through civil war living history and reenacting. If you are interested in re-enacting and having fun while doing it we would love to welcome you and your family to join us.

Most all events we do are open to all family members (of course you must be in period dress either soldier or civilian). There is no alcohol and nor foul language in our camps. We do a variety of events within West Virginia like : Lewisburg, Philippi, Canaan Valley Resort State Park: Davis and Petersburg. We also do events in Va. Md. & Pa. such as Gettysburg Pa, New Market Va., Cedar Creek Battlefield: Middletown Va., Hagerstown Md to name a few. If you are interested in keeping history alive, and have fun doing it contact us.

Our members are also associated with the national organization: Birney's Division as a unit within the 2nd Brigade, 1st Division Cavalry Corps. Cavalry of the Potomac (Reenacted)  Some of our members are independently members of the West Virginia Re-Enactors Association as well as some members are in the SUVCW.
The Company "C" 3rd WV Cavalry is now recruiting!!! Since the 155th Events started in 2016 now it is 2024 and we are still in  the 160th Anniversary Series of events. So now is the time to consider Joining. Sign up today for the adventure of Civil War Reenacting.
