Biography: There was a man by the name of Greathouse, (David Greathouse) who lived on a far m that joined the Queen's old homestead on the waters of Gnatty Creek. He had a family of tw o sons and three daughters. Now Levi Queen, a son of Charles Queen, Jr., lived on a portion o f the Queen homestead that joined the Greathouse farm. He had a family of six sons. Two of hi s sons m. two sisters, (Prichards) William B. Queen had eleven children and Charles C. Quee n had six children who were double first cousins. Then three of his younger sons m. three sis ters of the Greathouse family. Levi Dunk Queen had seven children, Armstead Queen had four ch ildren, and James Queen had one daughter. Now these twelve children were double first cousins . The two Greathouse sons, Moses married a daughter of one of the Queen brothers and had tw o children, and Asa Greathouse married a daughter of Charles A. Queen, a first cousin to thes e Queen brothers, and had nine children. These forty children were all double first cousins a nd of the third generation of the Queen family. All of these children were married, and not o ne of them married a relative and they all had children, born into the fourth generation of t he Queen family. Now tell me what relation these children are to each other. These families w ill be traced out further along, as the writer endeavors to do.
